we recently stumpled upon a news article (Blick / german language) stating that biking can reduce sexual sensitivity…
to summarize the article
- for women: reduced sensitivity in the genital area after one month riding at least 16 km per week
recommendation: saddle should be lower than handlebar for correct female ergonomics - for men: numbness in the genital area and erectile dysfunction
recommendation: saddle should be higher than handlebar for correct male ergonomics
hmm… either the “scientific study” is not 100% correct or we accidentally always had the “correct” ergonomics on our bikes… but we never experienced any of the above mentioned problems… :-)
