last friday i spent 7 hours walking around at the eurobike 2012. in short: i had a kind of a déjà-vu experience… same companies at the same place, sometimes even with the same products and the same people as last year… ;-)
i’m sure there were – as any year – many new product launches for the eurobike. but for my personal interest there was not much new to discover…
nevertheless i enjoyed seeing all these shiny bike components and finished bikes… i especially liked3 the many fat bikes that were presented. i’m sure this will be big business in the near future…
i have also seen with pleasure that finally there is arriving a competitor for carbon drives. Continental was presenting their first carbon drive. hopefully carbon drive will become cheaper in the near future…
one thing that impressed me the most was a very old Campagnolo 3-gear shifter. unfortunately I don’t know from which year this gear shifter is. but it looks like a complicated thing to change the gear back in these old days.
